Boise States Broncos vs. The Golden Eagles of Southern Miss.!
This week it's Boise States Broncos vs. The Golden Eagles of Southern Miss.! Last year we took em' down by a land slide, 40-14. How will we do against them this year on the "smurf turf"? Were standing at 2-2 while their at 0-3, I'm pretty confident we can take them down this year. And I'm sure all of you Bronco fans out there know we can!
But the big question is; even though we probably are going to win, how are we going to treat our visiting team? I would like to think with respect and some dignity. "With success comes attention, with attention comes cockiness, with cockiness comes arrogance, and with arrogance comes rudeness. Basically, this is what happened to a small school from Idaho." Stated bleacherreport.com who ranked us the 20th rudest fan base in the country while Southern Miss. didn't even make the list. That's disappointing personally and should be for all of our fans. The same site also stated that Southern Miss. were ranked 83rd out of the most loyal fan base last year even though they didn't win a single game, while we ranked 24th most loyal.
What does that tell us? We're rude and loyal. Is that because were proud? Why is it that a team who didn't win a single game last year made the most loyal fan base list but not the rudest? My guess is because they don't really have anything to be proud of, they don't have any ground to stand on to even start a debate.
What can we do as Boise State fans to have a better reputation? Why can't we be proud and polite? Because not all Boise State fans represent our team in a rude manner, let's not forget that!

Boise State University Sportsmanship
Dedicated fans to Boise State University are very proud of the progress our
football team has made in becoming a nationally recognized team and continuing to impress,
but is there a line that can be crossed when it comes to rivalry and sportsmanship?
